Gray Struganik
Suitable for paving and exterior wall decoration
About the fractured stones
Our fractured stones are obtained by crushing (cleaving) stones in the quarries, yielding smaller or larger pieces of different shapes. You see these stones a lot in the paving of (garden) paths and as an exterior wall decoration. Since the stones are not mechanically broken, each piece has its own unique shape.
Detailed information
The Struganik rock takes its name from the village of Struganik near Mionica in Serbia. It is a layered marl limestone which belongs to the sedimentary rocks. The chemical composition of this rock is as follows: 92% to 97% is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and 3% to 8% is marl. This composition gives the Struganik rock great strength and resistance to bending, compression and wear. Like all our other stones, it has great resistance to extreme weather conditions. The rock has multiple colors including white, yellow, gray and blue. The surface is almost always provided with relief.
